OCTOBER, 2025
VERSION 1.0

INTRODUCTION

Thank you for using Child Earn ("Platform"). Your privacy and your child's privacy and safety are of utmost importance to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect personal information relating to parents, guardians, and participating children in connection with the Child Earn Skill Development Programme ("Programme").

By registering on the Platform or permitting your child to participate, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy and consent to the collection and processing of your and your child's personal information as described herein.

We adhere to the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and shall ensure full alignment with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") upon its enforcement.

ABOUT CHILD EARN

Child Earn is a community-based, parent-driven skill-development initiative designed for children between 5 and 12 years of age. Within validated gated communities, parents collaborate to conduct supervised one-hour activity sessions such as gardening, stitching, painting, or simple household organisation so that children learn life skills, discipline, and teamwork while remaining in a safe environment.

The Programme promotes early financial literacy by allowing each child to receive a small token reward of Rs. 250 per week for participation. The initiative is educational and recreational in nature and does not amount to employment, apprenticeship, or labour under any applicable law.

APPLICABILITY AND CONSENT

This Policy applies to all users of the Platform principally parents or lawful guardians who create accounts, validate communities, or otherwise use Child Earn's services.

When you provide your information and your child's details, you do so voluntarily and with informed consent. You may withdraw such consent at any time (see Section 13). However, withdrawal may restrict or prevent continued participation in the Programme.

By registering, you further confirm that:

  • you are the lawful parent or guardian of the child whose data is provided;
  • you authorise Child Earn to process such data for the limited purposes set out in this Policy; and
  • you understand that the Programme is confined to validated gated communities and operates under adult supervision.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND PURPOSE OF PROCESSING

When you sign up and use the Platform, we may collect the following categories of personal information directly from you:

Parent or Guardian Information: We collect your full name, mobile number, email address, residential address within the gated community, and one-time-password (OTP) verification details. This information is necessary to create your account, validate your community membership, authenticate your identity, and communicate with you regarding scheduling, updates, or safety alerts.

Child Information: We collect your child's name, date of birth, gender, and optionally a profile photograph & school details. This data allows us to assign the child to appropriate activity groups, ensure age-appropriate pairing, and maintain attendance and progress records.

Community Validation Data: To ensure that the Programme operates solely within secure residential boundaries, we collect community identifiers such as the apartment or villa complex name, flat or house number, and validation approvals from at least three registered parents. This verification mechanism prevents cross-community access and ensures safety.

Usage and Technical Data: We automatically collect limited device information such as device type, operating system, browser type, IP address, and usage logs. This helps us maintain Platform performance, detect technical issues, and enhance user experience.

Feedback and Support Data: If you communicate with us via chat, email, or feedback forms we may retain such correspondence to address queries, resolve issues, and improve our services.

We process the above information for purposes including:

  • registration of parents and validation of gated communities;
  • enabling scheduling, hosting, and attendance of Activity Slots;
  • maintaining records of participation and reward tracking;
  • ensuring safety, compliance, and transparency within each community;
  • sending operational notices, emergency communications, or updates;
  • fulfilling legal obligations and responding to lawful requests; and
  • analysing anonymised or aggregated data to improve Programme design.

LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING

We process personal information on the following lawful bases:

  • Consent: Information voluntarily provided by parents or guardians.
  • Legitimate Use: Processing necessary for safety, coordination, and programme administration.
  • Legal Obligation: Compliance with applicable laws and law-enforcement requests.

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

All personal information is used strictly in connection with the Programme. We may:

  • create and manage your user profile;
  • authenticate your gated-community membership;
  • match and schedule activities;
  • send reminders, notifications, and safety alerts;
  • generate anonymised insights for programme improvement; and
  • contact you regarding service changes, policy updates, or grievance responses.

We do not sell, rent, or otherwise monetise personal information.

HOW DO WE SHARE THIS INFORMATION

We may share personal information only under the following controlled circumstances:

  • Authorised Personnel and Vendors: Limited access may be granted to employees, service providers, or technology vendors who operate or maintain the Platform, under strict confidentiality and security obligations.

  • Safety and Emergency: Relevant details may be shared with other verified parents or community representatives to handle safety-related incidents or emergencies.
  • Business Transfers: If the Company undergoes a merger, acquisition, or restructuring, data may be transferred subject to equivalent safeguards and prior notice.

DATA RETENTION

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes stated above or as required by law. When data is no longer needed, it is securely deleted or anonymised.

Upon account deletion or written request to erase data, we will delete or de-identify all associated personal information within a reasonable period, unless retention is mandated by applicable regulations.

DATA SECURITY

As part of data security measures:

  • We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or alteration.
  • We have adopted all reasonable safeguards as mandated by the applicable law in order to protect your personal information. The personal information provided by you is stored only on the servers in India.

Despite our best practices of safeguarding your personal information, you understand and accept that there is no guarantee that data transmission over the Internet will be completely secure and that any data that you transmit to us is at your own risk. We assume no liability for any disclosure of data due to errors in transmission issues, unauthorised third-party access to our Assistant and databases or other acts of third parties or acts or omissions beyond our reasonable control and you shall not be entitled to hold us responsible for any breach of security. In the event of any actual or suspected security incidents, including data breaches, we will take all measures required to be undertaken under applicable laws.

CHILDREN'S DATA PROTECTION AND SUPERVISION

  • The Platform collects a child's information only through the parent or guardian; we do not permit direct sign-up by minors.
  • All activities occur under adult supervision within the validated community. A same-gender parent or guardian must be present during every Activity Slot.
  • The Programme does not constitute child labour, employment, or any form of commercial work. Participation is entirely voluntary and educational.
  • We do not knowingly solicit or process information from children outside this consented structure.
  • If we become aware of any unauthorised child registration, we will promptly delete such information.
